Autumn on the New York City High Line

Steve and I visited New York on a whirlwind trip a couple of weeks ago. We landed on the Monday afternoon and flew back out again on the Wednesday evening!

I was so excited to explore the city in Autumn. One, because it’s my favourite season and two, you see these amazingly colourful photos of Central Park and of the trees that grow harmoniously between the buildings, I couldn’t wait to see it in real life.

As we were staying in the Meat Packing District at the Dream Hotel, I insisted we grab a coffee and head up to the High Line, it’s my favourite place to take the city in; as well as the perfect spot for some people watching.

As we were walking, I stumbled upon this row of trees with their leaves glowing in all their autumnal glory. We couldn’t not stop and take some photos!

Let’s also have a chat about this awesome jumpsuit too. I feel like Nobody’s Child had me in mind when they designed it (I mean a girl can dream!) and for starters it’s covered in flowers. But it’s also that perfect match between being comfortable, however fitted enough to make you not look like you’re wearing Pyjamas! I paired it with a roll neck top that I picked up from New Look and some old skool black Vans.

The bag is a vintage Louis Vuitton backpack, which my Step Mum gave to me years ago. It’s such a beautifully made bag and I love the fact it has a hard shell, instead of the more slouchy style leather backpack.

New York is beautiful in whatever season you visit and I feel very lucky to have found some time on this trip to see the city at it’s most colourful.
