Autumn Wardrobe Edit

We’re coming into my favourite time of year! I’m going to miss those long summer evenings, but when jumper weather comes around I’m ready and waiting to put on some knitwear and get cosy. I’ve found so many autumn pieces that I absolutely love, but unfortunately my bank balance won’t allow me to buy all of them, so instead I’ve picked some specific items that would instantly make your wardrobe more autumnal.

The Jumper

I’m a layers kind of girl and have way more jumpers than I actually need. A great statement jumper is so versatile, especially when you need a transitional outfit to go from day to night. You could pair this with some wax finish, black jeans and heeled black ankle boots and easily head straight out for dinner/drinks. This Topshop jumper looks so comfy and has an interesting pattern without being too in your face.

The Trousers

Jeans are normally my staple, however this season I found a lot more cord and slightly smarter style trousers coming out too. These cords have such a fun cut and are a great take on the cropped flared jeans that were around this summer. These & Other Stories cord trousers stole my heart.

The Dress

To me, the epitome of Autumn dressing is a floaty maxi dress or layering up that favourite summer dress. I love to take a slip dress and layer it with a roll neck; channeling that inner 90s student. There’s so many beautiful floral dresses out this season, but when I came across this one from Silk Fred, I thought it was the perfect mix of autumnal colours with that floaty romantic cut and fabric. Imagine pairing this with a pair of slightly chunkier black boots and tights 👌🏼

The Polo Neck

Nothing says it’s getting colder than a good polo neck; you can layer it under a dress or just go full on Steve Jobs (RIP), pairing it with a great pair of jeans. This polo neck from Jigsaw comes in all the colours and is thin enough to be layered, but also thick enough to be worn on it’s own, which is a winner in my books!

The Coat

So excited that yellow is creeping in on the Autumn/Winter action! It’s such a happy colour and there’s some slightly less in your face tones out there. Which means if you’re like me and your tan is slightly fading you’re they’re not going to make you look washed out. I spied this coat from & Other Stories; you could definitely throw this over any outfit and instantly feel that little bit happier!

The Boots

I love that there’s so many brightly coloured and floral styles out again this season. But you also can’t go wrong with a good pair of black boots either. If you invest in a good pair, you’ll keep wearing them season after season. These All Saints boots are a slightly more slender take on a classic studded biker boot, the lacing detail and studded sole makes them a really nice smart/casual boot for everyday.

The Shoes

These little beauties were love at first sight. New Look have captured that cosmos and embroidery trend all within one shoe. I’m not at the stage where I’ll be investing in a pair of Gucci loafers anytime soon, so these are such a cute addition.

I’m not sure I’ve helped myself by creating this post, but I hope it’s given you a little bit of Autumn style inspiration for this season!
