Creating the Chelsea in Bloom display for Cosmetics à la Carte has been such an exciting project to be part of. Every year the shops around Chelsea celebrate the Chelsea Flower Show by decorating their shop fronts and interiors with fresh flowers. This year’s theme ‘Carnival’ celebrates the colourful and energetic Rio de Janeiro Carnival. My design focussed on celebrating the vibrancy of Cosmetics à la Carte’s makeup and channeling this through the colours of the flowers, but also including the makeup compacts and lipsticks into the arrangement. Cosmetics à la Carte create beautiful makeup right here in the UK, none of their makeup is ever tested on animals and they’re also one of the only places I know where you can create a custom foundation and palette which is completely unique to you.
I installed the display on Sunday night with a team of people who I couldn’t have completed it without ❤️
If you’re near Chelsea this week definitely take a walk around the area to experience all of the beautiful displays that are adorning the shop fronts. All of the florists who’ve taken part have created the most amazing displays and each one is different from the next. Cosmetics a la Carte are also offering peach bellinis and these awesome mini cupcakes by the very talented Afternoon Crumbs! Each cupcake has an individually painted mini tropical leaf which matches the foliage I painted for the frames themselves!
If you think ours is worthy of the People’s Choice Award and would like to vote for our display you can do so on the Chelsea in Bloom website, as well as check out all of the other amazing displays if you can’t make it to Chelsea this week.
I’m so happy to have been a part of the celebration and a big thank you to Cosmetics à la Carte for asking me to create the display.
