You guys know me, I don’t wear a great deal of make-up on a daily basis, however the one thing I do love is getting dressed up for a special night out. I recently revisited the Cosmetics à la Carte store to have my make up done and absolutely loved the experience.
The shop is a beautiful place to visit, filled with every colour of eye shadow you could imagine and located just off Sloane Square. What I love about the brand is the fact that all the make up is made in their UK based lab just around the corner.
Cosmetics à la Carte is also the shop I created this floral display for last year, everyone in the store is lovely and it’s such a relaxing thing to do before a night out. I thought this look would be a great inspiration for an evening out or a special date!
Below is the before and after. We were going to the theatre that night, followed by a party on the Friday, so I wanted to learn some tricks for creating a more glamorous look.
Natalie used a black eyeliner pencil on my top waterline, which immediately made my eyes pop. She also used purple and blue toned eye shadows which complimented my blue/green eye colour. For the lips she created a custom colour, mainly using the plum wine lip pencil.
Natalie kept the whole look light and dewy, with pops of colour on the eyes and lips, so it still felt fresh and bright. If you’re looking to have your make-up done for a special occasion or want to learn a few tips for creating a certain look, the team at Cosmetics à la Carte are so knowledgable and more than happy to help.
