Do you ever scroll down your Instagram feed and come across a place that gives you a serious case of wanderlust? I always find amazing road trip photos of Joshua Tree; filled with Cacti and awesome sunsets . On our way to Coachella we wanted to spend a night near the National Park, mainly so we could stay until sunset and then wake up for sunrise too!
After a lot of googling, we came across this Airbnb in Yucca Valley (about 10 minutes from Joshua Tree). The photos looked awesome, but when we arrived the place exceeded all of our expectations. At the very top of a steep hill surrounded by cacti and desert sits this awesome house. The interior has such an industrial but cosy feel with multiple fire places, vintage sofas and windows that allow that magical light to flood the whole room. As you can see we took full advantage of the vintage magazines and awesome light!
It was nice to chill out and feel at home for a night before Coachella, which included laughing at Steve negotiating pizza deliveries and getting up early to walk up the hill for sunrise. We felt like we had found our very own desert retreat. If you’re ever visiting Joshua Tree and looking for somewhere to spend the night then this is definitely the place to stay.
