This is my second to last post on the wedding and I thought I would share a little bit about what I wore and the people who helped to make me feel amazing on the day!
I bought my dress from Miss Bush in Ripley, I visited a few wedding dress shops before my appointment but this was by far the best experience; plus trying on wedding dresses in a sunlit chapel is an experience in itself. The dress I chose was called Patience by Maggie Sottero; I loved it because it wasn’t white but a slightly blush colour. I then layered a Jesus Peiro lace jacket and a blush veil. If I could find an event to wear my wedding dress again I would in a second.
I felt like my Valentino Rockstud heels deserved their own section; by far the most expensive shoes I’ll ever wear on my feet but I loved how amazing they made me feel when I wore them. I also thought they would be a great shoes to wear after the wedding day too!
I’m not blessed with the thickest hair in the world but I always knew that I wanted some form of braid in my hair on the day. Farida managed to create something that looked great without making me look like I had no hair left (which is always a bonus on your wedding day). The hair piece I bought from asos.
I brought my aunty out of bridal make up retirement and she did an amazing job. I did quite a bit of research on bridal make up products that last the whole day and thought I’d share some of them with you as they did exactly that. My aunty used the Illamasqua Radiance Veil Primer which made everything stay in place. I chose the Dior Forever foundation, used the naked palette 2 on my eyes with this Nars creme eye pencil. During the day I used A La Carte’s Silk Touch powder to clean up any shine, which my lovely bridesmaid Nicole bought for me before the day.
I wanted the bridesmaids dresses to compliment mine and feature flowers in some way. I chose these Needle and Thread dresses which we ordered from asos. All the bridesmaids looked so gorgeous and I was so happy to have them by my side.
Keep an eye out for my last wedding post as I’ll be sharing our wedding decoration details.
