Winter Adventures in Alberta- Part 1

If you follow my Instagram you’ll be aware that I recently travelled with Steve, Ben and Nicole to beautiful Alberta for 12 days. It was honestly one of the best trips that I’ve been on and I couldn’t have asked for better people to travel with! I decided to put together  three posts featuring my favourite activities in each of the three places we stayed in; Lake Louise Ski Resort, Banff and Calgary.

Beginning with the picturesque Lake Louise Ski Resort with a special thank you to Taylor and Landon for making us feel so at home!

We stayed at Deer Lodge which is a classic log cabin style hotel with a hot tub on the roof (probably the best thing after a day on the slopes!).

Snow Friends– On the first day I linked up with a Snow Friend, as I was the only skier in the group it was great to get out with someone who knew the slopes so well and who could show me a few routes off the slopes too! What’s great is that you can link up with a Snow Friend for free as they’re all volunteers.

White Horn Bistro– If you’re looking for next level après-ski food, we had the best food here and definitely skied and rode slightly slower that afternoon!

Lake Louise Sleigh Ride– This was such a romantic experience and an amazing way to see frozen Lake Louise.

We stayed in the Lake Louise Ski Resort for 2 days and had so much fun exploring ! Keep an eye out for my next blog post on what we got up to while staying in Banff.

A special thanks to Travel Alberta for making this trip possible and to Nancy Smith for looking after us every step of the way-you’re awesome!
